Go through every table and see how much you understand in the file. Download the latest VCM Suite software (free) from HP Tuners and download a stock file for a vehicle similar to yours from their tune repository (also free). I know you're going to read this and probably buy the stuff and try tuning your car anyway, so do yourself a favor before you do that. If that's a risk you're willing to take, accept it and jump in. I still would not feel confident to tune someone else's vehicle or to tune a heavily modified vehicle without possibly causing damage. I've had my MPVI for a few years now and have been researching and learning.
There are no good ways to learn how to tune the GPEC2A controllers, as the Tuning School courses are very basic and generic and gloss over many important aspects of tuning that can get you into big trouble fast. I suggest looking up one of those folks and paying them to tune your vehicle. Only a handful of people can truly tune these right and they are folks that can dissect the binary code and add their own tables as needed using the user defined parameters with open source tuning software that does not provide definitions like WINOLS or TunerPro. There are many problems with the definitions in the tuning files and lots of stuff is missing. These are extremely difficult vehicles to tune. Then, make it your own with customizable layouts and data visualizations, and your own logo graphics. Show more of the action with picture-in-picture video, 360° video, and 4K Ultra HD.
